Northeast Caravaners?

I'm coming from NJ, probably leaving between 100AM-200AM Thursday morning, I'd like to beat the rush. I'm going I78 -> I81 -> I77 -> I85 I believe. Anyone in the NE following that same route or maybe anyone along the way?

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

It is a lilttle closer for us virginians to go I85 but we are getting a caravan together going and I95 to I20.It is a better road to meet everyone on this side of the coast. I know of at least 6 of us so far.

Luke if I'm able to leave Wednesday night I could meet up with you in Harrisburg around then, I'm about three hours from there. 200AM would be doable.

Ok that's cool. I'm supposed to meet up with someone in NC too on 85 outside of Charlotte but that won't be until later.

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

We are leaving richmond at 8a.m. thursday morning. Picking up a couple more in Emporia at 9 and then other in NC around 2. See if your person in Charlotte would meet up with us going through Columbia SC on I 20. We are taking I95 a slightly longer route so we can pickup more people plus we dont have to deal with Charlotte traffic and its 70mph all the way.

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

Well it all depends because I don't have my car back yet. If its not ready until the morning, I won't be leaving until like 1000AM tomorrow and then its all moot point. *sigh*

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

If you are worried about richmond traffic just hit 295S right before richmond and it will take you around the city and drop you off just south of petersburg. We are leaving from the Exxon station at the route 5 Market rd. exit off of 295S at 8a.m.

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

^ No problem Brad.
I don't remember the exact name of the hotel but it's right on I75 about 30 to 40 miles south of the OH/KY border. It was a Holiday Inn Express Hotel. Chris Meyers (Sunset123) should be meeting up with us as well.

Re: Northeast Caravaners?

^^^ Then you should be swinging by the hotel roughly around the same time we'll be leaving in the morning. We usually arrive around 4pm at Z1 as well.
On the Mon or Tue before the Nationals, we should post our cell numbers so that we can coordinate meet-up times.

^^^ You're going to miss the Track Day at mini Talledega. It's a great event even just to spectate as you're located in the center of the track.
