I have more rear shots of the car on my computer that I'll post up when I get off work. He said the tips were sitting about 3 inches past the outer opening for the exhaust.

Carputer

I just noticed the pictures of Ash's Z and his carputer when we had it on display at Z1 for the show. The cool thing about having the carputer is I can post to 300zxclub from the passenger seat while Ash is driving us back to Florida

Again, big thanks to the Z1 crew for your hospitality while we were there. Great show!

It's wireless. You can set it on the glove box door, in your lap, or stand 40 feet away from the car with it.

Hey Woody75 here's the rest of the pics i took of LuckyZ car. I wasn't able to get a good straight on rear view shot because of the car parked behind it.

That would look fantastic if the tips were centered where they should be. Met Lucky and chatted for a while with the guy...super nice and friendly person. Guess I would be too if I lived down in the Keys.

BTW...right click , save on your first pic LOL

Keep in mind this is on a 2 + 2 so the mufflers have to be set much wider to clear the fuel tank. I really want to see this same set up on a coupe to see if the Quad Ovals are more centered.

Yea the B&B quads look badass with the TwinZ bumper. In order for the tips to be centered one would have to take it to an exhaust shop and have them modify the piping. The problem with that is that he has the full 3inch version and with there already being minimal space to work with makes it sorta difficult to do.

I thought i read somewhere that you were going to sell that beautiful z?

so does everyone have to cut their bumper and car to install the twinz bumper?

I really don't want to but I fell like I should make a thread.

Greddy Evo 2 and HKS Hi Power are the only exhausts i know of that don't require modifications for the 2 seater. All other pictures i've seen with the TwinZ bumper had custom made exhausts.

That's LuckyZ car...He told me he had problems fitting the B&B exhaust centered due to the gas tank being in the way, but I think he could get them a little more centered with some extra work from what I see in the pics, but I'm not sure.

On a 2+0 Z you shouldn't make any modifications to make the B&B centered, since it's located in the same place as the Specialty-Z exhaust.

I think you are wrong Mike...My Z had a Greddy SP2 exhaust and now has Specialty-Z exhaust, both fitted perfect with no modifications needed, also I have customers with B&B, HKS Hypers and Greddy Evo 2 with no modifications.

Here's a picture of a 2+0 Z with a non-modified B&B exhaust...As you can Z, the exhaust tips look perfectly centered and look even better with the diffuser than the Specialty-Z exhaust.

yeah 2+2's have to due to the tow hooks, cant remember if that was mentioned in any of the sale threads for it. Must say I'm not thrilled either, currently considering my options re: cut bar v cut hooks.

chuck a thread up & maybe we can see what others have done.

No problem Mike...Just wanted to point out that there's no need to make any muffler alterations on the 2+0 for people wondering that.

Cutting the hooks is the only way to make the bumper fit right...If you really want to have hooks, the best way would be to make custom ones down the road instead of cutting the bumper to keep the stock hooks.

BTW, we just installed 2 days ago our Type II bumper on our newly adquired 2+2 TT and it fits perfect without any modifications needed even with our stock exhaust sitting at the stock height (haven't changed the exhaust hangers yet).

I don't see why you had to make the holes in the trunk bigger, since the stock mounting hardware keeps its stock dimensions...Have you checked if your Z has had any kind of rear damage? Maybe making some of the bumper holes a little bigger would have been better to install the stock mounting hardaware correctly.

Here's the only pic I have of my 2+2 TT with the new bumper...will take better pics once the car looks decent!
