Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
I know some of you are looking at attending without registering, please note the following post Pinckard made last night on the Heart of America Z Car Club Facebook page:
"Quick registration update: We are at 75 paid registrations as of 5/15. We have been averaging 2-3 new registrants a day over the week. Taking that into consideration we look to pull in around 100 paid registrations for the 2015 event when the final count is done. Haven't registered yet? Why not come join the fun? A paid registration and a single night at the host hotel can be had for a little more than $120. It's a great chance to make life long friends and have a GREAT time for a reasonable amount of money. Just as a side note: If you plan on making the trip to Branson during this week and don't plan on supporting the event with a registration, PLEASE find a direct way to support a couple of the charitable organizations that we are helping this year. That won't get you our negotiated room rate, access to the BBQ, drag strip, car show, awards ceremony, fun cross, float trip, attendee organized cruises and group meals or enable you to purchase raffle tickets but it will make a positive impact." Re. the motel rate, the BZF rate is $60.00. The regular rate is $69.95. |

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
They had free t shirts for registration early on. Z1 is involved now so hopefully not a faceplant like in years past. You going to memphis then?

I will not be going to memphis. Got a busy spring with the girl graduating and some other stuff. I wouldn't even be coming to BZF, but I want to say HI to everyone... |

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
I just got off the phone with someone who attended ZDAYZ and chatted with the Z1 guys. As I understand it, Z1 will no longer be hosting Z Nationals and, instead, will be traveling to various meets across the country.

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
This may seem a bit off topic but bear with me.....
The post I made above re. non registrants at BZF was made on the Heart of America Z Car Club Facebook page. I then looked at the "Branson Z Fest" FB page that I routinely check and it was not posted there. In doing some digging, I found a second "Branson Z Fest" FB page. The first is categorized as a "Public Group" and the second as "Automobiles and Parts". The non registrants post appeared there but not the first. Both of these appear to be "official" FB sites with Pinckard posting on both. In doing more digging I found yet other Branson Z Fest FB pages as well as multiple ZDAYZ pages. No wonder there is so much mis communication and no communication. As I have discussed with some, that is the problem when events rely solely on FB to promote an event instead of a website. |

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
I have just attended ZDAYZ for the tenth year and every year it gets bigger - almost now to the point of being too big.
I had a great time there and Brian and his team do a great job every year. I had intended for the first time to go to Branson also but from all the posts I am seeing here it seems to be declining each year and sounds like an awful lot of politics and infighting going on. Is it still worth the time to drive from Atlanta to Branson for this event? Maybe I will just skip Branson and go to Memphis for ZCON. Last edited by crasez; 05-18-2015 at 02:19 PM.. |

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
WD40, Yokohama, Z1 (last year), Dragon, and many more. BZF used to have a bunch of good paying-up sponsors. The last couple years, they disappeared....lack of communication and motivation. Did you see the registration room last year? It was completely bare. virtually no raffle stuff at all. If it weren't for Pickle's shenanigans, that would not be the case.

There seems to be more clubs and people pitching in to help and more activities are scheduled. That is a big plus. Hopefully, the past mistakes will not be repeated. Case in point, the t-shirts are printed and in the possession of one of the helpers. That is a big step in the right direction. |

Re: Branson Z Fest 2015!
It occured to me, Branson Z Fest, if nothing else, should be a start studded event. These celebrities are scheduled to attend:
TnkrsToyCo. 1990 FairladyZ Funkysi (all the way from England!) AZ-ZBum Spawn and more! You might want to bring a tablet or something where you can get their autographs! |
