Don't think so. The timing light has a connector that clips over the wire. Its called a inductive pickup plug.

is that for that open connection in the motor bay?

Looks like you pick it off a wire on the PTU.

don't put the clip around the entire bundle, there is a single black looped wire on the harness to the coils from the ptu, clip it on there.

And make sure when you test it your car is fully warmed up and idle ~750 for correct results.

and yes, if you need too, spin the CAS to adjust the timing.

when i first turn on the key....yes...to engage the ignition and start the car...it goes away...ive been
